TORONTO ON – 28 September, 2020 – REMAP was recognized in several categories at the 17th annual International Business Awards® (IBAs). Known as the International Stevies, the 2020 IBAs are open to all organizations worldwide: large and small, public and private, for-profit and non-profit and is the world’s premier business awards program. More than 3,800 nominations from virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. This year’s competition also featured a number of categories to recognize organizations’ and individuals’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Creativity, resourcefulness and innovation are core Canadian values. We are delighted to stand shoulder to shoulder alongside outstanding organizations from around the globe. Recognition by The Stevie® International Business Awards gives rise to showcase Canadian talent nationally and beyond.” said Irene Sterian, Founder, President & CEO of REMAP.
Regarding the REMAP Management Team of the Year submission, one judge wrote, “This is one of the best award submissions I have judged of the thousands I have judged over the years”.
For the COVID-19 submission, “REMAP has done an exceptional job innovating - especially during a challenging time. Often, this is when there is the greatest need, and REMAP has managed to supply services to help a greater cause. Building partnerships is a great testament to the work of Irene, and with this leadership the company has grown to exceptional heights. The future is bright, but will require new ideas, different connections and an ongoing global mindset to be successful in the new normal”.
“I was very impressed by REMAP’s dedication to using the resources at their disposal to create as much positive impact as possible. Very often in life, people decide not to do something because they don’t feel they have a large enough platform to make a difference. REMAP serves as an example that commitment and passion towards a cause is more than enough to make a strong impact in other people’s lives, and I hope others hear their story and gain a similar inspiration”.
“In today Tech industry, Participation by women in leadership is less as compared to men. REMAP team Led by an all-female executive is achievement in itself and is highly applaudable”.
“REMAP is an integral part of the new business ecosystem in Canada. Helping invest in leading edge tech, REMAP helps create a culture of innovation which shows what happens when leadership meets technology”.
As the ongoing COVID-19 crisis will prevent winners from receiving their awards on stage during a traditional gala IBA banquet, winners will be celebrated instead during a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, December 1 st .
